Bobbing for apples at Halloween is really a fun activity.
For those who don’t know what it is – you get a tub, fill it with water and put some apples in it. The kids (or adults) try to bite an apple without using their hands – a very wet but fun thing to do.
Like many Halloween stories bobbing for apples has along history. It seems to have started in Celtic times. Apples were a symbol of love. The first person to bite an apple was to be the first to marry. That's sort of like catching the bouquet at a wedding.
Today, it is just a fun Halloween activity.
