What will happen in the morning? That is an age old question. Many people have tried to to find an answer. Many fortunes have been spent trying to find out what the future holds for them. Many Halloween stories abound in this field.
Fortune tellers use many devices such as cards, dice, bones, amulets and reading palms – almost anything you can think of to fool the “client”.
Even the great magician Houdini tried to test out the mediums of his day. He didn’t really believe in them. He just tried to show them up. In many cases of exposing fortune tellers he was very successful.
He told his wife that he would try to contact her from “the other side.” She held annual séances on Halloween for ten years after his death.
In spite of these Halloween seances, she never heard from him.
